Glenn Mango

Mangifera indica 'Glenn'

The mango we hand to people who have never grown one. Glenn is mild, sweet and almost entirely fibreless, it holds fruit reliably in Central Florida, and it stays small enough to manage without a ladder. Anthracnose resistance is better than most, which matters in a Florida summer.

The cultivar name and the figures above are our best effort rather than a guarantee. We rely in part on what the nurseries we buy from tell us. What that means.

  • Pick up in person. Collect free from Booth J57 at Renninger's Flea Market, 20651 US-441, Mount Dora, at the weekend, or from the nursery on a weekday by arrangement. We will confirm the details with your order.
  • Local delivery. We deliver to the Eustis, Mount Dora, Tavares and Umatilla area.
  • Ship to me. Carefully packed and shipped from our Lake County nursery.
Larger sizes are pickup or local delivery only. A 15 gallon tree cannot be boxed and shipped without damaging it. Smaller containers of the same variety ship fine.

Growing Glenn Mango in Central Florida

Full sun and sharp drainage. Water deeply through the first two summers, then only in drought. Feed a balanced fertiliser three times a year and stop by September so new growth hardens before winter. Prune right after harvest to hold it under twelve feet.
